WHAT MAKES ME AN "INFORMED" FOOD BLOGGER

I am CURRENTLY a PRACTICING PHYSICIAN .

However, I did complete TWO YEARS of college studying GENERAL BIOCHEMISTRY AND MICROBIOLOGY, Food technology,Food Microbiology and Biochemistry prior to deciding that I am more inclined to the CLINICAL SIDE of things and hence decided to get into MEDICAL SCIENCE .

I did very well in medical school thereafter and am now a "kick-ass" doctor .

My interest in "Food" and the "Science of cooking" continues to this day and explains why I now have a Food blog as part of my LECINQBLOG family of Blogs

I seek to dispel FOOD FADS, food myths via this food blog.I seek also to increase health awareness by canvassing for healthier diets.

I know, what you are going to say.It is not a bruschetta unless you toast or grill the bread.Well, this is my version and I STILL CHOOSE TO CALL IT BRUSCHETTA, coz it looks like one.
I like afternoon snack time.IF you search my archives, you will find cute stories about my other afternoon snacks(which btw are equally enticing).
Here in the above picture, we have jalapeno peppers,roma tomatoes,cheese bits and olives on untoasted french roll slices.HEY,WAIT A MINUTE! If I remember right,This picture was taken prior to heating the slices.So, the end product is a molten cheese-open sandwich effect.ENJOY!

CARROT CAKE-LECINQBLOG'S DESSERT SERIES
I am CURRENTLY a PRACTICING PHYSICIAN .However, I did complete TWO YEARS of college studying GENERAL BIOCHEMISTRY AND MICROBIOLOGY, Food technology,Food Microbiology and Biochemistry prior to deciding that I am more inclined to the CLINICAL SIDE of things and hence decided to get into MEDICAL SCIENCE .I did very well in medical school thereafter and am now a "kick-ass" doctor .My interest in "Food" and the "Science of cooking" continues to this day and explains why I now have a Food blog as part of my LECINQBLOG family.I seek to dispel FOOD FADS, food myths via this food blog.I seek also to increase health awareness by canvassing for healthier diets.
Carrot cake is yet another favorite of my cakes.Any dessert with overt fruits/vegetables in it just automatically becomes my favorite desserts,because desserts GET LESS CLOYINGLY SWEET when a lot of fruit is added to them.
Also, I like texture and carrot cake with those carrot shreds in it is SO TEXTURE PERFECT for me.
I make all of my cakes LESS SWEET, almost to the point of being savory or bland..I like rich dense cakes that are NOT SO SWEET, WITH LOTS OF TEXTURE .
Sorry for the poor quality of my picture there..It is an old cellphone picture .
The icing is a creme cheese frosting..
THIS IS A MICROWAVE CAKE..

SHRED carrot,
mix batter,
pour and bake
eat.
Time taken from start to finish?12-15 minutes at the maximum...trust me..IT IS THAT EASY AND FAST!

I am CURRENTLY a PRACTICING PHYSICIAN .However, I did complete TWO YEARS of college studying GENERAL BIOCHEMISTRY AND MICROBIOLOGY, Food technology,Food Microbiology and Biochemistry prior to deciding that I am more inclined to the CLINICAL SIDE of things and hence decided to get into MEDICAL SCIENCE .I did very well in medical school thereafter and am now a "kick-ass" doctor .My interest in "Food" and the "Science of cooking" continues to this day and explains why I now have a Food blog as part of my LECINQBLOG family.I seek to dispel FOOD FADS, food myths via this food blog.I seek also to increase health awareness by canvassing for healthier diets.
I made pizza dough from scratch.It doesn't have yeast though.
I spread out my dough with hand (no rolling pin)
Then I placed all my favorite toppings on the dough.
Then the cheese(After i went vegan, I skip the cheese step and cutely, the pizzas turn out just as tasty too)
Then some cayenne and paprika on top(that is my touch)
Then I PAN HEAT IT(yeah, again, so UN-TRADITIONAL)
Then I take it out and EAT IT BEFORE IT GETS COLD.
The toppings that I have used in the above picture are

b/spinach
c/corn
e/mozarella cheese
